Starrett Blacksmith Hammer?

Picked this up 25th July
It is just under 14" Overall length
The Head is 5-34" Length
                    1" Width
                    1" Height
Weight 1 Lb 6 Oz.
My best guess is a Blacksmith Hammer
I have seen that S in a circle mark somewhere
but can't recall where. I saw the Starrett Hammer with
magnifying glass on the internet but that's quite a different animal.

Or a tinner's hammer.  Starrett seems unlikely.

+1 on Starrett being unlikely maker for this tool;
the more I think about the S in Circle
this may have been a completely non-tool related logo/mark
that I saw.

I posted a wrench with the same logo a long while back, we never did figure it out!!

It's a welder's chipping hammer, doesn't look like a high quality one, rather rough  parting line.

To show some of the differences in  chipping hammers took a pic of mine, I round the ends over to use repairing or making beads in sheet metal, The rack is from a store displays I got for 3$ and have they all over holding hammer a bed roller dies.I do have some steel handle chipping hammer  for welding  with those fancy arc welding rods! I'm laughing cause it reminds me of these  super small rods I got and sent to the welding class at the local college. They separate the welders from the wannabees!!! hehehe

I have had those before, but I can't recall the maker.  I am thinking it may be a later H.D. Smith Co. tool.

Think you got it; Googled HD Smith and came up with a picture
of some nice looking screwdrivers with a VERY similar stamped
makers mark
