This has to do with my other Plomb Proto thread
https://www.papawswrench.com/vboard/index.php?topic=27305.0

So I've been sorting though my wrenches and discovered I have a Dual Lable Proto / Plomb Tool Co 3/4" combination wrench !! I've heard of them but I've never seen one before.
Are they as rare as I've heard ? Is this fully true.............

From Ai:
Tools marked with both "PLOMB" and "PROTO" logos were produced during a transitional period following a trademark dispute. The dual branding appeared on tools made in 1948 and early 1949, as Plomb was required to cease using its name and logo due to legal action from the Plumb Tool Company.
The company initially attempted to use the "PRVTV" trademark in 1948, but this was deemed a paper-only change and not legally valid.
After a court-ordered shutdown in December 1948 and re-opening in January 1949, Plomb began producing tools with both the "PLVMB" and "PRVTV" marks, which were later replaced by the official "PROTO" trademark.
The final court order required compliance by March 1950, after which the "PROTO" brand was fully adopted.
These dual-branded tools, such as the 7/16" and 1/2" box end wrenches from 1948, are now considered rare collectibles.

I have a small collection of dual marked. I'm always on the lookout for them.
