Went out campaigning today! Enjoyed meeting the neighbors!
« on: March 17, 2012, 05:42:15 PM »
I went out campaigning today, for Township Committeman (the other Township Committee person is of the requisite female gender and I like her fine), and I met all kinds of people. One fellow moved out of a typical suburban community around a little nearby lake to a 200-year old house with a barn and a shed-shop attached. He is a IH tractor enthusiast and was working on one he will take to the Annual Rough and Tumble show in nearby Kinzer, PA this August.  I gave him an invitation to look at my wrench collection without hesitation. Another fellow, fetched up from New Orleans, and now retired from banking (Katrina destroyed his intended retirement home), I invited to our weekly Man Cave get together (we only have one Southerner now and a second one would balance things out). All in all, it was a pretty good day campaigning.
