That doesn't look like too bad a set up, but for the price.  True its all in one spot, no further searching required.  Wonder how heavy the anvil is?  Forge and blower look like good ones.

It wouldnt be cheap and its not a great price but if ya think that post vise probably a few hundred the anvil at least a hundred both drillpresses a few more hundred so really I could see a grand for it all. Not that I would pay it thoe.

Everything looks to be good to me.

I agree, but even 500 for the anvil, 3 dollars a pound, around here 75 max on the post vise, 300 for the forge and blower, 100 for both drill presses, even a thousand would be pushing it.

Wow, 75 bucks for a post vise. I wana live were you live. You cant find em around here under 150, even then its beat up and its rare you find it.

Yeh, I guess if you add the grinder and all the tongs an hammers you would might get a thousand.

Last post vise I bought was 75dollars, six inch jaws, very old with a brass barrel, but in excellent usable shape.  5 years ago I bought one at a junk shop for $25, six inch jaw, made me grunt, on my bathroom scales it is 120lbs.   Have bid several forges of that type up into the low 300s.  You can build one similar for about a hundred, put on an electric blower.  Bought a large blower, hand crank, out of a barn at auction, for $10, about 3 years ago, never sat out in the rain.  Have a hand crank on my portable forge.  A good blacksmith makes his own tongs, and when he gets good, his next hammer.

I have tongs and nippers here that I have advertised here and got no results . there must be a million out there . I don't even record them . they are in my shed and now that someone reminded me the junkman cometh .  bob w.

The reason I didn't bite on the tongs is the shipping weight,  about double the cost of them getting to me.  Plus I usually try to buy tongs at $5 per pair for ordinary ones, specialty made a little higher, about twelve bucks is the highest I've ever paid.  At  the antique malls they think they got gold in em and see them as high as 25 per pair.  I get them to use, not hang on the wall.   Wish we were closer.   John in Nebraska
