KD-Tool 297 eye poker?

I am having no luck finding KD tool reference on line

this one says 297 and might be for working with tiny cable, like for windshield wiper transmission cables.

It is a brake shoe retaining spring tool per the 1973 catalog that I have.  The text says that it for Comet, Valiant, Falcon and others using the type of spring shown.  The spring looks kind of cone shaped with a hook on the top end.
