Flea Market find Billings Set

Most of a Billings 1/2" drive set at last weekend's flea market - $12 for all.










Sockets are from 7/8" to 1 1/4"


Of coarse now I will not rest until I have the remaining sockets to this set.
Anyone know how small a 1/2" Billings set would go?

Found an answer to my own question.

I am missing (8) sockets:

LS1212 - 3/8"
LS1214 - 7/16"
LS1216 - 1/2"
LS1218 - 9/16"
LS1220 - 5/8"
LS1222 - 11/16"
LS1224 - 3/4"
LS1226 - 13/16"

Now to find them

yeah, ya beat me, was gonna say you don't usually get the speed wrench unless you get the larger set, so you have a few sockets to go...

They are in nice shape, and Billings made indestructable sockets :)

Twelve bucks, that just isn't right.  I'm not sure I've ever had my hands on a modern billings socket.  Now to find a Billings tool tray for them.   I'd say you did alright.

I have the ratchet, but I've never seen another Billings tool.

Billings tools are fairly common here in my slice-o-tejas.  I see them fairly often in the pawns, fleas, and swaps.  That said, you have to be willing to dig into the tools bins and sort out the tools you want.  This takes time and effort, but is otherwise an enjoyable process.

The other thing you have going for you is that Billings tools are not highly sought after or highly valued.  This means you should be able to pick up sockets you're missing in the $0.25 - $0.75 range.

That ratchet looks like a Plomb design, so now i gotta find one. I have a few Billings tools i have found over the years. Not very common around here.

I come across BBillings sockets etc. up here in Iowa on occasion.  I'll check my stash.  I may have one of those rats myself.  ANy of my sockets will likely not be that cherry though,  ie "red headed step son" syndrome!!! lol

Billings stuff is not uncommon here in California, but I rarely pick it up.  If you have something specific you need, let me know and can put it on the list.

Billings tools are very common here in Connecticut. I swear that every 4th or 5th tool that I pickup to look at when I'm at the flea markets are Billings.
I have a lot of older SOE, DOE, S handle adjustables from Billings. Just last Sunday I got a nice Billings bicycle wrench.
I see Billings all the time and now that I know what sockets to look for, I'm sure I'll be able to fill in my 1/2" set.
