anyone with old auto tool catalog? J5223-13

can anyone look up what car this pinion setting gauge is used with - it's a J5223-13

it may (or may not) be used on Hudson Teraplane, see http://hudsonterraplane.com/tech/1953/1953HudsonJetShopManual.pdf figure 16 on page 113

I suspect there is a little cap part that is missing, I could make the missing part, but I probably won't - but first I'd like to find out what car it actually is intended to be used with - maybe the -13 is just there to confuse me? the current production part is Kent Moore J-5223-20a, that one shows up easily in a web search. Here is a photo of the exact part I have. If you have an older (1950s?) Kent Moore catalog, maybe it's listed???? I don't have one of those catalogs.

The highest J number on Nov 1, 1950 was J5091, Need a *slightly* later catalog.....

well, that's good info - so early 50s is probably about right - now..... if only someone with the right catalog can confirm..... or of course if someone wants these - I just want them to find a new home that is not a scrap....I suspect there is a piece missing.

Could be both, generally, KM tools , when they are kits (a set of tools for a certain task) the base numnber is the kit, the suffix is for the particular tool in the kit.
The base number seems to be for a pinion tool of some sort, so I assume it is for repairing a differential. Given that rear axles were made by a few companies and widely supplied to various auto makers, it is possible the tool is appropriate for multiple vehicles....

PS: Axle data says the Jet and Willys (and others)  used Spicer Hypoid rear axles...pinion depth , however is different, so some of the tools in the kit will be only for certain vehicles..)
