Today's sojourn netted a Stanley folder, a small one.

Interweb says it has "box joints"  what does that mean?

That's pretty cool - you've got one with bound edges (the metal along the length of the rule).

Not sure what exactly they meant by box joints, but they are a more substantial hinge than the lighter (not sure of name) hinge, which consisted of thin leaves.  I'll have to dig around and see if I can find some examples.

Anyway, good find.
