Nice Crescent Pliers Age? Use?

Garage sale find Thursday. They measure 10" long and are marked CRESCENT TOOL CO. JAMESTOWN NY USA. The model number is hard to read. Maybe 92510. On the inside there is a stamp USN something...it appears that is was added later judging by the quality? The design on the handles is really cool...looks like a S and then a forward arrow....so neat I may have them re-chromed and keep them. Thanks for your comments.

Nice set, they will serve you well just as is or rechromed.

If it was me, I would not re-chrome them. Clean them up and oil them. Then use them!

Alloy Artifacts has a pair like these, marked Red Devil.  Red Devil 925-10 Slip-Joint Combination Pliers.  Crescent acquired the company in the '20s.  Except for the screwdriver tip, they appear to be the same, and Crescent continued to use the Red Devil mark for an undetermined time after the acquisition.  925-10 should be the model number.

The handle pattern on the pliers on AA is the same as the oldS&H pattern, so i would say it's the early pattern. Catalog 24 (1941) Shows the zig-zag pattern on phillie's pliers, So they are probably the second generation pattern.

(I like the zig-zag better, the S&H pattern is kinda dull - P )

Thanks for all the help. As far as the re-chroming goes, I think you are correct it letting nature run its course.
