Ratchet ID help needed
« on: September 28, 2013, 08:55:56 PM »
Does anyone have an idea as to what brand this ratchet handle is?  I found it among hundreds of tools in my late father-in-law's estate.  I can't find any markings, or names on it.  It is 5" long.  Any help is appreciated.

I just picked up one today. No name on it either. I remember buying a 1/4" drive set in the 70's that had that ratchet. Pretty sure it was Japan item, Not a lot of quality , but interesting Frankenstein style.
Of all the things I've lost , I miss my mind the most

I've had two of those...still have one. The common consensus was Wright tools.

This is a parts breakdown and how to get the gear and pawl out.

Thanks for the input! My father-in-law was in construction his whole life, and never saw a tool he didn't like (except Asian made).  I have come across some pretty interesting items while trying to inventory everything he had.  Ron
