"Guest" = unregistered user for purposes of the following.  I'm seeking to understand the guest posting policy structure for this forum.  There are many times I see a "Guest" with a post within a particular thread, and then other times I see a "Guest" attempting a post in a thread where their post never appears.  Is there some criteria/restriction/review that must be passed for a guest to post as such in a thread, or is it simply that a "Guest" sometimes initiates a post that they do not finalize due to their own?

Any poster who has not registered will show as a Guest, and any posts by a guest must be approved by admin or moderator. This means me 99% of the time.

Many posts by "guests" are spam posts and I delete them right away. Others that are true contributions to the forum are approved and left for members to read in hopes that the unregistered poster will be encouraged to register.
