Tool trade marks

I bought some sockets off Ebay. The guy claimed they were "None Better' brand. I received them and found no None Better trade marks on them. Most had no trade marks only said 'made in USA'. A few had a marks on them. It was a circle with a line and like a smile on each end, (-), Kind of like that. But the line touches both side of the smile and in a circle. I've seen that mark before but don't remember who made it. Any body got any idea?

The mark would be Hinsdale. None Better was a logo of New Britain.

On balance, I'd probably rather have the Hinsdale!

I'm guessing these are hex drive sockets. Both None Better and Husky are made by New Britain and look the same. If they are marked Made in USA with a straight line knurl then the seller was correct. Did they come in a socket holder?

Thanks to all that replied. Seller refunded me over half my cost. So I'll be keeping them. All were 1/2 drive. With some being Hex. Only reason I got the hex was because I had already gotten him to give me a deep discount on them. He said they weren't selling to good. I have since from a ratchet for them. I had found the set of None Better at a flea market and just liked the name. So I bought them. I was just trying to complete the set. More I learn of these old tools the more I like them. Might have to looks for a set of Hinsdale next. Think they are really better? Can't tell much difference just looking at them.

No, not better; I'd just rather the Hinsdale given a choice. Frankly, none of that style of those old sets are especially high quality; there were intended as functional "value" tools...

I grew up on Craftsman Tools. My Mother retired from Sears.
I guess they are better than the old stuff. Shinier anyway. I work on old Ford 'N' tractors. I like the thought of using the tools that were around when they were new.
One other thing. Two of the sockets had no markings other than the size an a Star on both side of the size. Know what they might be?
