I have fast and best and it works.

It's my living, and even the fastest machine is slow when you design in 3D. For me its a trade off in productivity.  I don't mind a just out of college engineer on an older machine, they don't cost as much and they can't go that fast.  I measure tool cost in productivity and, for me, good tools = more $. A lot more than their cost.

Now I wish I was a driver.  I could justify a BMW.

rusty

Yeah, 3d rendering is brutal, so is OCR, (I admit having a shiny 8 core machine for ocr'ing things ;P)

But for typing, my old , now officially obsolete XP machine more than keeps up ...;P
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

I am not sure of his plans for it, but my son has a 10 cubic in 3-d printer ordered and paid for.

His normal projects are anime characters, related objects, and Ghostbuster stuff.

Those 3D printers have come a long way.  Barrels of fun, and prices are dropping.
I'll try to time it right and get one eventually.

Bottom line is with my different formats I haven't seen a different forum.

Last week I changed my forum theme (1205 people used the default and I was the only one using something else.) It didn't look that great but it was better than what I had.

I just changed things back to the default and things are back to normal.

Very strange???
