Tomorrow I'm going to pick up a older Kennedy kits machinist chest it is a 6 drawer box with original keys and comes with a couple machinist books a slide ruler and couple other misc things it is in pretty good shape with no dents and only a couple scrathes. The seller is asking $25 is it worth it or should I offer less? Also am I getting a good deal? Sorry I don't have a picture. Thanks in advance.

Price should be good if condition is good.

I think you did pretty good. I have been looking for a Kennedy box like that for awhile. The closest I've come is the 4 drawer cantilever an I paid quite a bit more then you did. Two completely different boxes but still both quality pieces.

Sounds good for 25. Just make sure the drawers all slide an it should be good.

Kennedy chests are great.I have bought several of the Kennedy chests. Usually you don't find the keys, bad top handle, or felt lining needs to be redone.

Thanks, its pretty nice on the inside too besides one drawer having a little paint loss/light rust and the felt liners are pretty dirty but I plan to use it so that doesn't matter. The drawers slide really well and the handles are very tight. I think I did pretty well.

Just to re-key one will cost you $25 from Kennedy.  Don't ask how I know...
