Dunlap 10 Inch Pipe Wrench

Dunlap was a second line of Sears Craftsman tools. According to Alloy Artifacts,  "began appearing in the Sears catalogs in the 1938-1939 Fall and Winter edition, and often the new brand was used for tools that had previously been offered under the Merit or Fulton brands. Dunlap tools continued to be offered at least into the late 1950s."

I was given this Dunlap 10" pipe wrench by a friend, and we noticed it is marked GERMANY. Does anyone have info on German made Dunlap wrenches? Perhaps after the war?

So we could be looking at something prior to WW II....??   I would expect anything after WW II would be marked W. Germany and that we wouldn't have seen any imports during...   so 1938-1939?  And anything made into the 50s would be US or other manufacture?

Guess you may be correct about pre-war.
