I'm going to venture a guess that it would be very unpleasant to get your finger caught in there?   :shocked:

Its a lot more "unpleasant" to try and dismount beadlock racing tires without it.

The sidewalls are thin and flimsy, nothing to push against. So this tool gets under the bead and pushes the bead off the rim. The hooked bar grabs the opposite side of the rim so you can get under the bead. Pretty slick once you get it figured out.
