4" Bergman

Looking for a little help on Value. I recently bought ( on ebay ) a small group of items and one of them is a 4" curved Bergman adjustable. I payed $37 for the bunch so I think I did ok, this is the first one I've seen for sale so I didn't want to miss it. Anybody have any thoughts on what that little Bergman is worth? I got some pics but I'm having trouble with posting them, My wife gone for a few more days so I'll have to get some help from my Daughter.

I sold one recently but can't find the sale, but I got about $30 for it. Ebay sold Item prices range from $25 to $ 45 , with one really nice one that sold for $81 !

Thanks for the info Noel. Considering the value of the other items I got with the Bergman I'm more than happy with what I paid.
 I did buy a straight Bergman 4" from you back in October but I don't think that's the one your refering to. I haven't seen the one I bought from you yet but my son in Washing state tells me it did arrive. Thanks, Jim.

This is the group of tools I got for $37 and because I.m in Canada $16 of that was for freight. The little 4" curved Bergman is what I was after and the rest of the stuff is a bonus. Above the Bergman is a pair of snip with nice curves at the base of the handles, has some what I is Chinese script on it. Below the Bergman is an unmarked wrench, then a brass handled screw driver and the next 2 I have No idea what they are. On the top right is a sharpener of some kind with an illegible patent date, I cam make out March 3 9? so I may find an answer on DATAMP. Below that is a nice little 4" level made of Mahogany and brass and then a glass cutter that has some script on it that I may be able to read after I clean it up, it also has what looks to be a small industrial diamond on the base. Below that is a Barcalo wrench from the  1930s. Below it is a small spade bit.

Hello, I took a quick look at DATAMP, March 3 1896 is a valid Patent Date.I did not see what you have.Regards, Lou

Ya Lou I looked at that year, I think if I go thru all the years in the 1890s with the March 3 date I may find an answer. Just haven't got around to it. Could be a Canadian patent or from any country I suppose.

Given the diameter of the thru hole I think Lewill2s idea is quite possible.

Used  ( http://www.nonesuchtools.com/patent/shotgun.htm ) to go thru March 3, 1896 patents  -- the Cue Trimmer is patent no. 555,730 (Brunswick-Balke-Collender Co. was assignee). The specifications note prior art & related patents.
