Vintage Craftsman sander with custom carrying case...WIW?

Here's another tool we recently dug out of a closet.  It's a Craftsman 315.22411 1/2 HP sander.  My late father-in-law was a master carpenter and he bought the sander new decades ago, then built a custom wood carrying case for it.  Any idea what it's worth?  How much does the carrying case add to the value?  Any ideas appreciated.

eBay is your best bet for pricing.  The custom box is certainly nice, but in my opinion most people will completely discount it.  I've seen similar in metal cases go for $10 to $25 and whatever shipping costs.
