What is this used for?

I have this from somewhere and don't know what it's used for.  I guessing that it for wood working but don't know exactly what it is.

It's a fence for an electric router.  The two parts allow for fine adjustment.  Not sure what manufacturer's router it's for; maybe someone will come along who does.

Possibly Craftsman.
