Button pliers

Does anyone know anything about "button pliers?"  It took me forever to figure out what this tool was that I had.  Apparently it was used for putting snaps and buttons on "heavy duty" clothing..... maybe, like I wear?  "Double enforced" carhart jeans? 
   It's a strange looking tool, pliers that have a regular jaw on one side and a round jaw on the other side...... yep, I'll get around to sending you a picture in a few moments. Just make sure you don't hold your breath waiting for the picture.
