small drill press

I need some parts for a small bench mount drill press.  This is a Goodell&Pratt drill, is all cast iron.   Am thinking someone may have a drill  that is rusty or broken stashed away.  Other companies made one similar, but the parts I need are for this self feed hand crank model.

Thanks, that is pretty close, watched the last one like it go for $74.   It has the two speed changer, but the feed on top is manual.  I need 3 of the little pieces for the self feed mechanism.   Nice to see they are still out there, since the company went under in 1929.   Appreciate the thought.

There pretty cool units. I never saw one of that brand but have looked at one at a junktique shop. Didnt buy it thoe, they were asking a hundred bucks.

I just saw it as I was browsing new listings and thought to myself hey someone on tooltalk posted about one of those.

The general feeling about the Goodell&Pratt tools is they were about the best available at the time.   Millers Falls is also good, and they bought out Goodell&Pratt.   Ever get a chance to get an eggbeater type hand drill from either company, do it.   The comparison to anything newer is night and day.   The other twin to my little drill press just sold for $274, a price that leaves me a little light headed.  I like old tools, but only where I can afford them.

     Yeah, prices are off from the previous heights. That one should have been in the 4 to 600 range for this model.  But many tools are down in this unspoken depression.

Are the parts something you can make?

The parts are covered by a tin cap.  Which I also need.  There is a knurled knob, spring, and something else or two, but have not found a pic of one without the cap.  Ideally if I had a piece to copy it would be good, or even a good picture, as I can get pretty inventive.  Pictured is the top of my drill, and a nice complete one.  The knob was turned or pushed to control the amount of down feed as one cranked.
