Bob,
I only live about 12 miles away. I'll pick  them up. I figure on giving him the freight as a tip. As an ebay seller, it is very frustrating to wind up giving stuff away. Those wrenches are worth WAY more than I paid for them. Note to self: Don't list on Ebay with too low of a start bid.

I start most everything at .99 in collectibles.  I want folks bidding on my items all 5 days of the auction, nut just the last 10 minutes.  Now back to the original thread.

Milk crate suckage winner,

That one odd wrench is kinda like some of the useless stuff that was in the bottom of your  crate. I can live with it.

There worth was determined by how much you paid for them. No one else bid on them. If they were worth "WAY" more there would have been bidders. The high shipping most likely turned people off. I won't pay double or more the actual shipping cost, no matter how much I want an item. Gouging on shipping and receiving damaged goods is why I don't do eBay anymore.

Good score! If they are worth way more to you than what you paid, then that makes it a fact no matter how you slice it.  Congrats on finding what you wanted at a price you like. That's the name of at least one of the games. Don'cha hate it when you make a statement and it gets contradicted just for the sake of contradiction? Contradiction isn't the same as contribution. It's rude, but what are you gonna do?
Anyway, well done!!

Nice find.It is sad how shipping charges are inflated.I only charge what it costs to ship. Now I see some people charging a 2-3 dollar handling fee. That makes sales tough!
It is what it is.

quote............Gouging on shipping .............Id go pick the wrenches up and not give him a dime more and tell him his shipping cost is ridiculous.
He rolled the dice on starting them out at such a low bid because he wanted to save the e-bay fees so he lost on this one maybe. Tough luck!
Always looking for what interests me, anything early Dodge Brothers/Graham Brothers trucks ( pre 1932 or so ) and slant six / Super six parts.
