And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

A couple of people are really determined to get it, too!

i'm curious, its a barn find, uncleaned, fresh, thoroughly wire brushed and coated in beeswax, in fact looks glass beaded.   I believe I have a couple of those under the bench.  But do I have to get them that clean for the money?  Looks sells, right?

This one is really cute!
It has the classic complaint of, "worst of both worlds" about it. The anvil too light and the vise? Well you aren't pounding anything with a 4 pounder in those jaws, that's for sure.

But still, its really attractive for a display piece and that is what the bidding is all about.

If you have some to dispose of John, yes certainly you need to priss it up for the decorator market. Old mechanics are naturally cheap, but decorators spend "other people's money".

I have one not quite as fancy laying out back of the shed in the weeds. Vise doesn't work like it should, and the face is full of chisel/pock marks. Total cast iron job, it is. I still haven't found a use for it in what I do.

Maybe I should "ebay" it, with "original" patina intact!!!! LOL
