And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

LOL!

Pity the soul that opens that door from the other side, that's about a 300 pound vise....
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Yeah at least a couple hundred.  No way they are shipping that for 60 bucks.
Outstanding deal if you are starting blacksmithing.

I saw a big 6+ one time! Talk about weight.
Guy wouldn't let me have it.
With post vises they are either, "Yeah take it willya! Just get it out of here"
Or else, "This is worth 27,000 dollars and not a penny less."
Nothing inbetween.

Of the 3 six inch jaw vises I have, two of them are about 75lbs. and the bulkier one, very similar to this  weighs a touch over 120lbs.  On this one I notice the ball end of the female thread body is broken off  exposing the vise screw to dirt.

Nolatoolguy,
If you are looking for a low buck vice. Here is one I have for sale. If I don't ship the wood, the freight will be less.
