Is there anyone out there that could tell me what kind of wrench I have here?  I have heard many different things, and thought I would be better off going to the people that deal with wrenches on a regular basis.

I can make out an "M" close to the hole, followed by what could be a 5, then a possible /, then either a 3 or an 8.

You have an M58 wrench. Quite common and was made by several manufacturers.

Google "M58 wrench", you'll find lots of references.
