Have a set of Blackhawk Nugget sockets that Stanley 62 brought back to Illinois on recent journey to reduce overpopulation of big mouthed bass in lake of ozarks. These are 7/16 drive and I seem to recall this was Blackhawks attempt to replace 3/8 and 1/2 drive sockets with one 7/16 drive set. was trying to verify this on alloy but can't access site.
Anyway they are deepwell and run from 7/16 to 1 inch. One small flaw, they are missing 1/2 socket. If anyone has a 1/2 socket to match these I'm a customer. The gaping hole in the photos is where that 1/2 socket should reside.
Anyone remember how well Blackhawks attempt to combine two socket sets into one turned out ?

Wow, I didn't realize that Blackhawk ever made 7/16" drive sockets! I have been buying them one or two at a time for years, without ever checking for that. Now I'm gonna have to go through my Blackhawk bin to see if I have any...especially if I have a 7/16" drive deep well 1/2" socket, of course! LOL

Wasn't that they came out with a "new" alloy that was supposedly strong enough that a 7/16" knuckle could do a 1/2" job? So they replaced both the 3/8" and 1/2"? Don't know how long it lasted.

Yep that would be their Hexite steel. They evidently made the 7/16 drive tools from late 1930s to late 1950s.
