Guilt complex

I may be forced to stop coming to this site.

All weekend my tools have been trying to give me a guilt complex. 
Every one I picked up is at least 30 years old and most are past 50.  They claim they should be retired, sitting on a shelf or display board someplace rather than still working.  Complain, complain complain all day.  Even the MIG machine had a tood.  It demanded a new contact tip.

Even worse, a few have picked the hiding habit up.  One pipe wrench was hiding in a fitting drawer.  When I found it the dang wrench claimed it was dirty and should be on Tool Security rather than grabbing a fitting at this stage in its life.

It got so bad I threw a tantrum.  I pulled my More Perfect Stool to a comfortable spot, threw a few of the more obnoxious wannabe retirees on a table and went to brushing them down with FranzShield.  They think that stuff is suntan oil for tools.  They will learn otherwise!

Now that was a good observation!!
  But if you think your 50 year olds are whiners?
Just wait'll the 200's come gasping up out of the box and blinking in the sunlight on the way to a job of work!!  Talk about cranky old farts!

Funny thing though, some of those old geezers really had the chops!! 
Give 'em a genuine chance, and they'll blow you away.

I agree just think 100 years the old wrenches adjustable will still be here .will the snap-on,craftsman , mac or other adjustable wrenches  be? Especially if left in an old barn for 50 years   bob w.
