Bravo!! Thanks for sharing!!
 Beautiful tools. I love them.
Little tools are just part of me.

I am really especially happy to see the Hilliary (give me a second here, I am just learning the name) stuff.
I didn't know about him until you started to show me.
Anything you would like to share? I know you already have, but it takes bit to penetrate my old head.
 I do know one thing.
 He is a nut!!
How much do you love that, I ask you?
A mini wrench guy!! And look at the work!!  In boxes, no less!!
  This guy is gorgeous!!

Mini toolmakers and collectors are a sick, sick, group.
There is just no excuse for us at all! heeheheheheheh

Oh, yer killin' me with the watchfob monkeys!! Excellent stash!  I didn't even find out they existed until it was too late and they were already being collected.
I have to find stuff nobody wants. As soon as anything becomes hot property, I am out of it. Can't even afford to pay attention, as the saying goes.  8^)

An idle question. Did you ever hear anything about the little end nippers? Salacious gossip would do!! I have never been able to find a single clue myself and yet the little nips are around, at least some.

Oh, one tiny bit of mini tool gossip?? Paul Hamler told me he drug around the little figural rabbit planes for years, and no takers. $10 bucks and entirely ignored. He couldn't give them away!
 Now look.

Hilary is a gem. I have only met him once but it was a treat for me. He is in his 90's and he stopped making wrenches about 2 years ago. Hilary never made a list of the wrenches he made. He kept an example of most of them if not all of them. He had all of his miniatures at a MVWC meeting in 2005. No one knew he was bringing his whole group of wrenches. Stan Schulz, son of Alfred Schulz author of Antique & Unusual Wrenches, aka The Wrench Bible, is still heavlly involved in the MVWC. Stan had an inexpensive camera at the meet so he took pictures of all the wrenches he had made up to that time. They were poor quality pictures but Stan published a HK list in the December 2005 MVWC News Letter. It was an extra suplement to the news letter. The pictures were hard to see any detail of the wrenches and they were black & white. I got serious about Hilary's wrenches and started asking, How many different wrenches did Hilary make? Nobody could answer the question other then Stan's list has, but Hilary has made more since then. 2005 was before I was a member of MVWC so I contacted Stan and paid for a copy of all of the 2005 news letters and the HK extra. Some of my wrenches weren't on the list so I decided if no one eles ever made a list, I would try to make a complete list with color pictures. So I started the effort and about 6 - 8 months later I completed the list with some of the guys in the MVWC, some other HK collectors I found over the years, Martin Donnelly, Jim Bode, Don Ervin, Dick Lawton, Dan Gaier and last but not least Hilary's brother-in-law. I had a complete list but I still needed color pictures of quite a few wrenches. As luck would have it Hilary's brother-in-law doesn't collect wrenches he collects cameras! So I asked him if he could provide the missing pictures by photographing Hilary's wrenches for me. He did so and my list is complete. MJD offered the list on his weekly tool lists a few months ago. It isn't a money maker just a tribute to a great guy. If any one wants a copy just pm your email to me and I will send a PDF version of the list. 76 different wrenches in color plus an alphabetical list. The file is about 3.5meg. Pictures of Hilary and Polly and other pictures are also part of the list. Those that contributed info are recognized. And that is my Hilary Klein story and I'm sticking to it. By the way I'm just over half way on collecting one of each. I know of 2 other collectors that have more then I do plus Hilary of course.

I got a little carried away with that last one and I forgot to say anything about the little nippers. No clue on why they were made. I have 3 pairs of the little cast ones but these are smaller and a lot better workmanship. I'll work on a comparsion picture.

The tools are in the 4" and under section.
Etiquette says we aren't supposed to post there (for now at least),  so the comment is here while the pix are over in the separate section

My thoughts exactly and might as well add my comment here since Im gonna do it eventually, seems silly to have to make a comment about something that is in another section in another section.

I wanted to thank you (Lewill) for sharing your tools in the 4/6" thread.  I'm astounded at what you've collected.
"FORGED IN THE USA" myself.  Be good to your tools!
