This almost ended up in the scrap barrel. It was rusty and crusty and who needs a 1/2 drive screwdriver ? After a little cleaning it turns out to be a tap chuck with a screwdriver mounted in it. Stamped ( No.10-1/2 Tap Cap No. 441-J9 Jacobs Chuck patented Hartford Conn United states of America) Is there a legitimate use for a blade screwdriver mounted in a chuck with a 1/2 drive ? Now that I've cleaned it up I hate to scrap it. Another quandry.

Great tool worth a few bucks, I have used them on and off over the years.

Nope, you are stuck with it Jim.
Same as me. I have one in the drawer and I am stuck with it too.

Sometimes there are only a few fools who can see something as nice, when hardly any can see it at all.
So these tool orphans end up at our places.
  If they survive one more generation after us, they'll be collectible hot property.

I have all kinds of things that will be boiling hot collectibles, a short 50-75 years after I'm dead.

But I have lived long enough to see some that, some other poor fool kept all his life even though they were considered worthless at the time,
but now they have matured and coming into their own.
I have some things I couldn't possibly afford to buy now, even though I got them cheap.

So think of this as your great great grandchild's bank deposit.
