Twin wrenchs

 Got the bottom wrench at auction Sat. When I got home found his twin brother hanging in my basement. Sterling D127. So much for record keeping.

Hey, happens to the best of us.   They are both pretty nice shape for their age.   Have you found out what Sterling manufacturing was?

Nice wrench. I`ve had that happen more than once. Always figured it never hurt to have a extra.

We probably all do that, but they sure can make good give a ways. I don't know if that's a hint or not but it sure is a nice wrench.

According to Obsolete Securities, there were at least 3 companies named Sterling Manufacturing, one in New Yowk, one in New Jersey, and one in (Sterling) Illinois (chartered in Nebraska)

I suspect the one in question is the Illinois one , as they made Seeders...
(Charter cancelled in 1909, the others are gone even earlier)

 Sorry about that;should have shown both sides. opposite side reads Sterling Ill. Made by Sterling Mfg. Co. of Sterling,Ill.
May take these two and make a sandwich with the Blackhawk cutout I got same day. Not in too good shape (badly pitted would be fair evaluation): but I didn't have a copy of the Blackhawk.
