240 vo problems
« on: January 14, 2013, 11:15:35 PM »
Most of you know I have a love affair with my 240 station wagon.....  it's the only car I've ever owned......  owned it for a long time!  The door latch on the drivers side isn't working. It's the "luck of the draw" as to whether I'll be able to open the door or not.
For those of you on the garage journal site .... forgive me for repeating myself.
I don't have any seats in my car, except the  drivers seat. But, I'm getting sick of having to enter and exit my car by climbing out or through the passenger door.  If I was climbing through the window, I could pretend I was in the Dukes of Hazard!!!!!
I haven't taken the "paneling" off of the inside of the door yet. I'm hoping that a small piece has broken off within the actual handle mechanism.... nothing more then that. But, I really don't have any idea what I'm talking about.
I know there's a really nice volvo guy I've talked to before.....  but, forgive me, I can't remember your name right now. So, if anyone knows this guy, let me know. Any advice is welcomed!  I'm hoping I can buy a new (used) handle for the car.
     I hope everyone is well.
cheers,
bird.

Maybe this will help, if it is the same model you have.
