Anyone Recognise These 2 Logos?
« on: May 20, 2013, 01:27:55 PM »
Im Assuming the First Ones "DFS" Stands for Drop Forged Steel..But Cant Tell what the Logo is on the Other Side...Looks Similar to One of Kawasaki's Logos But i Doubt it!

Rest of the Wrench Just Says Chrome Alloy and Has Metric Sizes 22 & 24

Other One Looks like the Logo Reads JLC Inside a Circle and Has Whitworth Sizes

These 2 Dont have a Country of Origin Stamp, But this Guy Was a Fan of German and British Tools

It's the mark attesting the tool complies with the requirements of the Japan Institute of Standards; it's a stylized JIS and certainly of Japanese manufacture...

So, it very possibly did appear on a Kawasaki tool!

VLC is for the specialty tool manufacturer VL Churchill & Company Ltd from England.

855A is paired with reverse sized 855 to work as a pair on tappet adjustments.

As such these are thin low torque spanners.

Next size up is 854 and 854A made here with a different shank profile.

This just about is all the wrenches VLC made.
