Maybe somebody has a memory flash, or maybe one of our new members has new information.
I'm still looking for an example or a picture or a drawing -- whatever -- for the DOE wrench issued with the mountain howitzer smith's tools. One end has an inch and a half opening, and the other end has a 3/4 inch opening. There's doubtless a few lying around from old farms (that's the history of the original anvil we found).
It's hard to imagine that one of these can be found, though. I need to find out what one *would* look like. Other than the openings, no dimensions are given that I have found yet. It seems they were straight, not s shaped, and the sides of the jaws might have been parallel to the shaft.
These would have been mass produced, not one-offs made by individual smiths.
