This 8-inch DOE wrench is stamped Transmission Band toward the 3/4" left open end, and Gasoline Line toward the 11/32" right open end.  I cannot decipher the makers mark, but it might be TFC - CFT - TCF ?  The wrench is also stamped MADE IN USA.

I don't know whether this was an after-market wrench or an original equipment wrench.  Can any of you guys supply more information about this wrench?

rusty

CTF was on alloy artifacts 'mystery brand' page for ages, but eventually determined to be a non advertised Herbrand brand.

Suspected date range 1910-1920

Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

It would seem that this wrench was probably aimed at Ford Model T owners as the transmission band opening on the wrench is the same (3/4") as the closed end opening on Ford 3Z-2034 Model T transmission band ratchet wrenches.
