HeelSpur, you might be interested in a program for re-sizing your pictures. I use Irfanview to re-size some of my pictures before uploading. Re-sizing them in this case, means making the file size smaller - the actual pictures look just the same to me - but I can change the file size from, say, 1.5 megabytes to 1 or 2 hundred kilobytes for example. Like I say, the pictures look about the same to me, but I may not have the most critical eye when it comes to color saturation, contrast or other elements of quality that would be important to others.
It is possible to do this kind of re-sizing in bulk with Irfanview, and then your bulk upload should go much faster. It does add another step to the whole process though, so it may not help the bottom line much in terms of net time saved. The program is free and does some other things, so it may be something you'd like to check out.
