The "sawhorse vise" will prove itself to be really useful if you give it a chance.
Having a handy vise on a sawhorse can be a godsend.

I am looking for a great one of these.    Has anybody seen a really great one?
I never have, but surely there must be some heavy cast iron sawhorse vises someplace??
   yours Scott

Scott I'm surprised you haven't assembled one of your own designs already.

You mean something like the #700 vise?  The first picture is an early one in a style I've not seen before.  Sold.

The second one is currently on eBay, made by Champion.

I have one of the Champions, and also one of the late model #700 vises.  Wouldn't be without them.  Now if I can find one like the first photo...
