Thanks for the information on Buck Brothers.  My first serious chisel was an old Buck Brothers I picked up at a yard sale for 25 cents.  It has worked at everything from paring to chopping mortises.  I still have it, still use it.  Still keep my eyes open for these chisels.  One of my other favorite manufacturers is D.R. Barton, so it's interesting that the Bucks began by working for that company in the US.  Dependable high quality all around.
