Help identifying logo's and confirming a logo
« on: April 05, 2014, 08:42:05 AM »
I have 3 tools that I just can't identify and 1 I'm pretty sure is a Herbrand CTF line s-wrench. 1 is spark plug wrench marked SMITHCO, a small 4 3/4 in wrench with a logo and numbers 285, a Diamond K logo (does not match Kraeuter & Company logo) cutter. Can anyone help identify these? Thank you!

I can confirm you do indeed have a Herbrand CFT (note the order) wrench and Kraeuter pliers.

Can't help with the others...

Not my area of expertise, but I sure like the looks of that Smithco socket wrench.
My friends call me Bob. My wife calls me a lot worse.

The pliers are from Krauter's 'K-Diamond' line (Thus the large K in a diamond logo instead of a stamped name). AA puts it post 1930's based on advertisments...

Newark NJ is the correct place....
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Smithco was Smith Machine Co, of New York city

The wrench is a swivel spark plug wrench for getting between overhead intake plumbing on certain flathead motors

Awesome info on those! Thank you so much! Now just that last wrench needs an id. Hopefully someone will recognize it...
