Identify this?
« on: April 08, 2014, 02:41:19 PM »
I put this with some others tools in the What's it forum. I'm hoping this will get more wrench knowledge. I can't find it anywhere.

I don't have any info on it, sorry, but I do have a wrench that is almost the same.  Mine doesn't have the logo but it does have the 285.  Interesting.

Also found it marked V&K 285"

Only reference I can find is Vaile-Kimes Co who made well pumps beginning of the century.

They have an odd logo, but not that one...
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Three marking variations of the wrench were shown together in the MVWC Newsletter a few years ago & based on the V&K marking, tentatively attributed to Valle & Kimes.    Until someone finds Valle & Kimes literature picturing the wrench or finds a wrench tied to a Valle & Kimes product it is all educated guesses.

3 different ones is interesting! Wish I could figure out what the logo on mine was. I'm still searching for it. Hopefully I can come across something for all of them!
