little torch

Heres a little torch which recently followed me home. Don,t do torchs;didn,t want this one but that old auction twitch got me in trouble again.
 Seems to be functional; knob turns and filler cap on bottom is free. Seems to have a cloth wick material in tank. All I can read on label is (Gaso).
 Wish Batz wasn,t so far away as he could certainly have this guy.
 Anyone know who made him?

Looks like a typical Lenk or Bernz gasoline torch. Looks to be all there. I have a few different like this, in gas and alchohol configurations.

Gas has 2 holes in the burner head, alcohol will have three. Some have an elongated preheat cup also.

That one will clean up nicely, I'd say.

 Now that I,ve removed all the patina and character from this little guy,what do I do with him ? Maybe use him for a Christmas tree decoration ?

I'm in the restore camp for all but a few high dollar items. Usefullness, history, uniqueness, visual impact are my priorities.  Unless an old patina adds to its beauty, I say, buffer on.

I like it better now.  I think it looks great.

Yes that's a little Lenk torch, I have one like it. I quite like alcohol torches, and I do own a few.

Here's a little alcohol torch with a story to tell.

I saw this in a junk store and noticed it was made in Australia, I do know a thing or two about torches but this one was new to me. The guy wanted $40.00 for it which I thought was way to much, it was one of those moments where you just have to have that thing, it followed me home.
Interestingly just the next week or so there was one on ebay, I watched with interest as I've never seen one before or after.

Sold for $234.55
