found a couple of stumpers at a rummage sale up nort and would like to see if anyone knows what they are. Note the mark on the plumb bob thingee weighs 2.5 lbs. by the way. The hand forged tool might be a wire twister fence tool note marks on handle for lengthening with a wood handle? Thanks for looking

The top item is a saw wrest, or saw set, for large crosscut saws. The hammer head is used if you overset the tooth.

Bottom piece looks like a plumb bob to me.  And thanks, Ron, for the saw wrest photo link — considering how many different kinds there were, I'm surprised I've never seen one before.

I have several, mostly the wood-handled Disston ones.  It took me a while to find out what they were after I got my first one.  BTW, I'm also in WI, SE quadrant.  You?

Is there a hole in the center of the right end of that plumb bob thingie?  If so, likely that's what it is.

I live south of Fond du Lac Wisc.

There is no hole in the plumb bob thing unless there is a trick to ty a string the hangs from the center and why have such a heavy bob?  I was hoping railroad or logging maybe mining which all happen in the area the thing was found.  pretty sure its a number 2 on it.

I'll be going right by you Friday on my way to Oshkosh . . .
