One of my favorite places for nature shots is Camp Mohawk, just a few miles from home. I often go there to walk in the woods or stroll around the lake. Today I took a chance, even though the temperature was over 100 again.

I figured at least the turtles would be sunning on the old logs in the lake, but I was wrong.
I shot some photos of a damselfly about 40 feet out on a small log. I thought I could blow it up and salvage the photo outing with at least one shot.

Much to my surprise, there were minnows swimming around the same spot. I certainly didn't see them in the viewfinder!

Great shot!  It's amazing how often we see the "great thing/ picture, ect".... only later to discover that everything around it was just as important or better. I know, I can't just let a good picture stand on its own.
cheers, bird

Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
