Had a good day! Retirement luncheon at the place I just retired from, with lots of folks stopping by to wish me well. Even the two millionaire owners came !

I think those pants your wearing in that sketch would look a lot better with an alligator wrench hanging out of the back pocket.

Happy (belated) birthday, Papaw!

It's great having a birthday this time of year, isn't it?

I really don't know, and I find it hard answering the questions.  Any sage advice?

Chilly

PS  I usually just say "I don't know any different. "

OK- Here is the story-
My older brother was born in 1940, and as soon as he could talk he asked for a little brother. I came along in 1942 close to Christmas, thus my name, Noel.
He didn't like me much because I got all the attention!
He was asking again a year later and another brother was born on Christmas Day in 1944. That one he liked, since he was 4 years old by then!

That Christmas baby is the one who often felt he didn't get enough at Christmas and his birthday.

I can understand the problem with being born in December Papaw,

my wife is a new years eve baby.

her oldest brother is a Christmas Eve baby.

our 1st 2 grandsons were born Dec. 13th &  Dec. 21st. 1988

yes, it's tough having a birthday the same month as Christmas.

and I can imagine how it was for your brother being born on Christmas day,
