I agree on the on the Proto/Drew connection on the thin service wrenches Lauver. I would also agree that C. Drew contracted them out. Since The Mac wrench was close and after looking at loads of photos of Bonney and Matco which don't seem to have the same head shape I went on a hunch and found the photo below (borrowed from that auction site). What do you think?

They are close but the heads don't seem to be the same. I could be wrong but didn't Mac make there own wrenches back in the Sabina Oh. days.  By the way I like your set. wouldn't mind finding some one day.

bill300D,

That Proto in your photo looks pretty darn close; wide beam, V-gullets, and the head angles look spot on.  Funny thing, I've never seen a Proto angle wrench like the one in you photo.  I've probably got ten Plomb/Proto angle wrenches that are totally different from yours.  They're all pretty thin, have U-gullets, and have totally different head angles.

Do you mind if I share your photos with the guys over at the Garage Gazette?  They're going to go nut's when they see your Proto examples.  Also, is there a wrench number on your Proto angle wrench?

That Photo is borrowed from ebay . I don't have any like that either. Like you said all mine are different. Based on the connection with the other wrench I did a search for v-gullet proto angles and Ill be darned if I didn't find one. Here is a pic of the other side and a link to the said wrench.
