JO-LINE TOOLS INC
« on: March 09, 2015, 06:29:33 PM »
Hello, again. Thanks for all of the previous help. Another tool followed me home from the Sunday Flea. 2  identical tools, both stamped JO-LINE TOOLS INC. SOUTH GATE, CALIF. J00X-8. I believe the company made torque wrenches. Tool at top is shown in what I am guessing is the stored, or, locked  position. The one at bottom looks like this is where you would start its use. Thanks, Lou

Dolly Parton made the song Joline famous.  No relation to the tool company, though. Found a J00x8 for sale at an Army Property website, but no info on the use or description of said tool.

Hello, I read the answer, and am still baffled. I have never heard of any other tool being used for inserting a cord into a microphone. Must be very specialized, that is why I am pursuing the Military Tool possibility, only the U S Government would request or purchase such a tool!!!!!!!!! Does anyone have an old catalog from the Jo-Line company? Thanks, Lou

Not for inserting a cord into a microphone, but more for inserting a microphone cord into an oxygen mask.
Like shown in the link:

Hope this helps a bit...

Interesting - the three prong pliers in the link from Rhoderman is more usually sold in the UK as a tool used by farmers for placing rubber castration rings on your male piglets - many different uses for one tool...

JO-LINE TOOLS INC. SOUTH GATE, CALIF. J00X-8. I believe the company made torque wrenches.

They did; I have one.

It's certainly an odd combination of products!
