Is this a tool?
« on: February 02, 2016, 05:09:58 AM »
I recently purchased an older home that had three sheds also on the property. One of the sheds is full of different types of tools. Does anyone have any clue if this is a tool and if so what is it?

Yes it is a tool. It appears to be a slide hammer puller of some type. These were made for various jobs such as pulling dents in sheet on cars, removing brake drums and axles and other stuff that doesn't come to mind.

Is yours marked?  It is a little different than the ones I remember seeing.

I don't see any markings except on the tip which has what looks like (snap-on CJ-G6-19). It will most certainly pinch your skin if you don't know that grip part slides down.

It looks like a modified slide hammer used to take dents out of auto body panels.

My mother-in-law pulled too far into her garage and smashed the rolling toolbox to the point where the drawers would not open.  It is still ugly, but I used one of these to get the drawers working again.

Really hard to tell from the pic but the puller attachment might be for the pilot bushing in a flywheel. Not sure what the business in the middle is though.
All my taste is in my tools.

CG66-19 is a bearing hook. the business is part of a spring loaded 2 jaw puller CG2xxseries missing the jaws I believe.
