 This guy is a piece of work. Many inventions and a political career. This little fellow was offered at auction with 7 other 50 cent braces. Not wanting to carry the weight of 8 braces I asked the ring man to sell it separately. He obliged and my freezeout bid of $2 carried the day. Quimby later became state senator and may have had aspirations to be president. Seems level headed except his patent on a combination bedstead and fireplace seems a little risky.

I like the bedstead/fireplace.  Seems unnecessary for young couples who are heating up the bed themselves...maybe for older couples who are more sensitive to cold than they used to be.
