Williams Superector

I was going to post my Williams Superector to the ratchet post with photos of the innards, but I was flummoxed  when I tried to take it apart. Does anyone know a proper way to take off the threaded ring? The rat does not appear to have been used much or ever taken apart. I don't want to bugger it up with a punch or a chisel.

kxxr, that's what I thought at first.  Actually, when you back the two set screws out, it FALLS OFF.  As Stiggy the bartender always said in his Polish accent;"Ve get so dumb so soon and so smart so late" Check my reply on bonneyman's ratchet post to see all of the photos and the reason it as so easy to take off..

I suppose it is a bit late for the instruction manual....

But here is some catalog info i came across, including internal parts list, and available sockets (1940's I think, undated catalog)
