Came across late 20's possibly early 30's unusual Enderes Tappet Wrench with USS SAE and a Hexagon next to a C symbols.

Does anyone know what the Hexagon next to the C symbol means?

Thanks.

are all their wrenches spelled NDERES ?   without an E at the beginning ??

According to a short note on Alloy Artifacts

" "C" with hex cutout ... Enderes Inc. Enderes [logo], 0368228, 03/20/1917, 05/26/1938 ..."

I would add their link to your collection if you don't already have it...

thanks Papaw,  I concentrated on the other style letters and completely missed the obvious. (must be age )

That wrench 'looks' awfully short and thick to be a tappet wrench.  How thick is it?

I updated with another picture of the backside.  The wrench is marked 'C90 Tappet Wrench'.  It's about 5 15/16" long and a hair thicker then 1/8".  A touch thinner then my Herbrand H-1 Van-Chrome.
