Goodness, have I been gone that long???????? I miss my wrench buddies, and as things happen with a bird... well, they can be quite flighty.
I spend much of my time in a more remote area then I'm already in up in the mountains with my friend.  Time tends to get away from me, no cell phone reception  here (hurray!!!!) ... Internet is spotty, at best .  Anyhow, I haven't managed to sell off the 8 crates of tools yet. But, I think it's going alright... so far, I can pay my bills. I hope everyone is doing well and I miss you all.... even Ole cranky aunt Phil (haha).
So, of course I have a question. .... no means of posting a picture right now.  I've wound up with 4 or 5 never slip "pipe tongs", "grappling tongs"..... I don't know much about them. I found a patent for the never slip horse co. Of boston. The tools look like they correspond to the patent date 7/6/75 by the inventor  Samuel stone.  It took me hours to get that far.  I've got several of the same tool, and , yes, I still love my tools but will do my best to sell some of them.  I couldn't find a listing, past or present on ebay.  I finally found one listing. Anyhow, I've never seen them until the "mother ship of tools".  Let me know if anyone has history info or price info. I love you all,

Neverslip was the name of a brand of horseshoe caulk tools, but the ones I know about were not "tongs".
You might have some of these-  http://www.toolexchange.com.au/our-tools/wrenches/2857

Those look like cursing pliers to me.... one slip and the pinch you receive will allow your curses to be heard all the way back in the hollow of the mountains where they don't have internet.
You might say I have a tool collecting problem....

Always good to see your name on posts, Bird.  Can't help with the ID on those pliers.

OK folks, so, I finally got my cope book out, and there is the picture of the tool I was talking about....invented by Samuel stone
"Different calks can be held and turned firmly in a shoe , turned upside down can go in the opposite  direction.... can quickly be removed and done while on the road."   So, it's for calks in a horseshoe.    I found the patent, but I can only locate one that is for sale.  I'm having no luck finding any recent or past sales records via ebay or anywhere else on this tool.
I'm not much for talking on the phone, but my friend Anne would love to field any phone calls about this tool.  Her number is 540 3776228
Love you all
